The body of Christ is a beautiful picture of diversity and unity. We are all different, but we are all one in Christ. We are one body, with many members. Just as our physical bodies have many different parts that work together to accomplish a common goal, so too the body of Christ is made up of many different people with different gifts and talents. We come alongside the body of Christ because we believe that by working together we can accomplish more than we could ever hope to do on our own.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
